Prescot Ladies reach Semi-Final of the England Hockey Cup
Prescot Ladies Have reached the semi-final of the England Hockey Cup for the first in their long history. This season the Ladies 1st Team have had a extremely successful season, especially in the England Hockey Championships. So far they have beaten clubs such as Cronkbourne Bacchanalians, Ramsey and Burton in the competition. Their next challenge is to face Oxted in the semi-final in Surrey.
PHC are hoping to raise to raise £1500 to help the team travel to and from Surrey, by coach. If PHC Ladies win the semi-final and go through to the final round this will be played at Lee Valley, London.
The team is extremely motivated and determined and hope to give Oxted a challenging game! With your help and donations, it will help to take a full team to the finals.

Prescot Hockey Club were originally established in 1953 and have been representing Prescot and St Helens across the North of England for many years and have built a thriving junior section over the last fifteen years. The Club now run 11 senior teams and 5 junior teams out of our home at Sutton Leisure Centre, players have achieved recognition at National, Regional and County level. Prescot teams have won a host of tournaments and cups over the last couple of seasons and their senior teams have achieved eight league promotions in the last four years.

In 2016 & 2017 Prescot Hockey Club had nine players achieve County representation with Lancashire at under 14s & under 15s (girls) and under 16s (boys). Prescot had six senior players represent the North of England in 2016 & 2017 playing against Scotland, Saxon Tigers, Wessex Leopards and Mercia Lynx. During the 2016/17 season the Prescot men first team won Division Two North West scoring a record 119 goals in only 22 games, the development team (under 25s) won the Golborne Summer League and the Ladies seconds secured their third promotion in four seasons to Greater Manchester Division One.

Prescot HC also run dedicated junior hockey sessions for under 18s on Wednesdays at Sutton and the new branded kit will be available to juniors too”
The new sponsorship partnership is for three years and includes shirts, kit and equipment livery plus regular legal advice workshops for hockey club members, families, friends and associates.

Successful summer of hockey for Prescot
Prescot dominate summer hockey. Prescot Hockey Club followed up a successful season (individual and teams) by dominating summer hockey.
May - July 2016: Prescot win and place 3rd at Golborne Mixed Summer League.
June - August 2016: Prescot Ladies win and place 3rd at the Greater Manchester Summer League
July 2016: - Prescot host mixed 7s and men's 7s tournaments and run out winners in both.
August 2016: - An all Prescot final at the Golborne Mixed 7s Summer tournament. Winners and runners-up
Prescot Player represents
North Lady Masters v Scotland
A massive congratulations to Melanie Heaps on being selected and playing for he North Ladies Masters v Scotland. Two games were played over the weekend with Scotland winning the first game 1-0 and the second game was drawn 1-1.

Men's 1st Team Win League
Excellent news from the juniors. Our two youngest trialists Mia Atherton and Blythe Carter-Jones have been selected to play for Lancashire girls.
Callum Heaps and Nathan Johnson have also been selected to play for Lancashire Boys.
